Rittenhouse Square

Historic renovation of a one-of-a-kind structure. This property served as home, office and “laboratory” for Architect – Frank Weise, until his death in 2003. Despite Weise’s efforts, involving almost half a century of continuous construction, the building was never completed. In 2004, Weise’s daughter and her husband wished to restore the property where they would eventually run their business from. The work involved would require reconstruction and stabilization of structural features along with more delicate interior finishing work. Up until 2015, the husband-wife firm – known as GHI Design – occupied what was Weise’s former office, downstairs. The upstairs was transformed into a fantastic, multi-level apartment, overlooking the City.

Today, the property has changed hands once again, now providing creative space for Philadlephia design firm, Fury Design.
